Lili of the valley - Sailing boat (Retirement card)

Hello, hope you are all well,  its cold today
its  been raining but sun just trying to show through, so hopefully it will warm up.
My Dad retired from work on Monday, So wanted to share with you the card I made for him.
One of my fav Lili of the valley stamps I know you have seen it a few times now.
But my Dads into boats, and he said he liked this stamp when I made the postcard for the paperlane
that was published in Craft stamper magazine
I don't think it shows to well on this picture, But I stamped the sails of the image again, cut out and curled a little, mounted on foam pads and glued edges down. To make the sails 3d and appear they were full with breeze.
So this is the inside of the card

Sorry image not to good but hope you get the idea. I made a banner with cream card cut the little triangles out inked edged, then used a page or 2 from an old yellowing dictionary, cut out more small triangles, stamped on letters to spell Happy Retirement. added a blue stickles around outline of flag.
Then strung together using crochet cotton, added foam pads to back side and hay presto 1 banner.

Recipe
6x6 plain white card blank
my minds eye design paper 1 sheet
other green paper on flourishes from my scraps box stash
smooth white card stock for image
selection of copic markers
image stamped with memento ink
Die cutters I used a few- spellbinders ones and Tim holtz
seam binding and buttons, stick on pearls too
oh and tim holtz tickets
also added Anita's 3-d clear gloss finish, to the hull of boat to give it shine and make it pop.
Distress ink used,  my usual one vintage photo

Anyway that's it for today from me.
Hope you have popped along to the paperlane challenge and are busy crafting away to come up with some wonderful creations to enter for  Shades of sunshine challenge this month.
I look forward to seeing what you have made.

Lili of valley - mix it and make card

Hi,
Another card to share with you.
Similar to last card I made for the paperlane molly bloom challenge -shades of summer. So its an easel card again  using the same go kreate  die. I  was commissioned to make a birthday card for the young lady next door for her 17th birthday, and this is what  I came up with hope you like it.

Just love these little mice baking

Cut a few of the little mice out and placed them around the card to tie the image together.
Like this little cheeky one sat next to the sentiment.
Added this little tag that slid between the patterned paper and card blank, so they could write a greeting  on as there was no room for a personal sentiments Once I had added the stamped image and flowers to inside of card.

Recipe
Dies used go kreated, elegant flourish Tim holtz, tattered floral's Tim holtz, vintage market die Tim holtz again for the number 17, spellbinders dies for tag
selection of copic markers
seam binding ribbon
stickles
for flower centres hot fix crystals
stamps used- lili of the valley mix it and make it, cherry on  top, also the sentiment was a lili of the valley stamp
selection of design papers from my stash sorry don't recall the name of them.
plain blue card and smooth card white card for images
stamped with memento ink black
and a little TLC

The young lady who the card was for, said she loved it. So that's worth all the time and effort.

The paperlane challenge - Shades of Sunshine

Hiya,
I would like to share with you the card I made for
the paperlane challenge the challenge is
 shades of sunshine this month.
I don't think yellows are a colour we use very often in our cards as the main colour. Which is a shame because, its just one of those colours that can bring  a smile  to your face and make you feel happy.
So when the challenge was set by  Caz, I thought about what colours I wanted to use.
Yellow -
Because its one of the shade of sunshine.
Green -
In the summer   the fields are a patch  work quilt of greens  and yellows with crops growing and the corn ripening
Orange -
Again its associated with the sun i.e.  sunsets  and blooming flowers.
Pink -
Because a girls got to have pink and it went well with the papers to make the pink flowers you see in the card
Anyway I best show you what I made.
I also stamped image of molly cupcake again and coloured and cut out the tray and her alice band and added to image to give more depth.

The flowers were made from the papers using the tattered floral die (smallest flower) for the biggest petal layer then using scissors cot the next layer petals a tad smaller and again for the smallest layer. then twisted the petals and glued together waited till dry added a hole for stamen and glued them in place. added the stickles on edge of petals.

All the papers, card and copics, die cuts, seam binding, the molly bloom stamps and buttons from
I would also like to say what a lovely array of cards we received for last months challenge
