Summer flower tilda-Magnolia stamp

Surprise ...... no Christmas card today and snowflakes.
Thought I should do something other than Christmas as I needed to as I am feeling a little overdosed on Christmas. Its only November and Christmas stuff has only been in the shops since October. It starts earlier and earlier each year, But in one way its good as it helps you start your shopping and spreed it out a little.
So I inked up Summer Flower Tilda and coloured her with delicate mauve shades.

I've coloured her with my usual combination of copic markers with a touch of polychomo
pencils
Skin : E000,Light Flesh 132, Medium Flesh131, Cinnamon 189
Hair: E50,E31,E35
Dress, Shoes and Wings :V91, E41.
Flower : BVOO, YG63.
I added dots for shading and interest. used W1,W3,W5.
Also added light cobalt turquoise 154 to outline little areas of image.
I have used a glue pen to outline flowers on papers (prima fairy bell) then sprinkled with glamour dust. At her feet I used Cosmic shimmer Glitter jewels glitter flakes.
Used Wild Orchid Flowers is a a similar shade to match with image.
Added a  Tim Holtz elegant flourish sprinkled with the glitter flakes.
Needed to cut flourish up and add it to assent the flowers.
Inside of card just same paper with added glitter and small corner of ribbon.
Few other little touches were using a border die to edge image, Ribbon, and few stick on crystals for flower centre, also on edges just to fill a space and add sparkle.

Morning,  Just had to ink up this stamp from Lili of the valley and share her with you. She's just so cute don't you agree.
So what did I use on this card... what didn't I used ..lol
the outer frame is Martha Stewart around the page punch
Design papers from my stash
I always seam to have some bit of ribbon on my cards
added some flat backed pears
there's a paper doily in there somewhere.
dies cuts used are spellbinders and magnolia doohickeys and memory box
also used some flowers from wild orchid crafts
The little cutie was coloured using copic markers and Polychromos Artists Pencils
Skin: E000, E00,E11,R20 , Light flesh 132 pencil
Shoes and Leotard: B000,B32 & Warm greys pencils V, II for shading.
Tights : R000
Hair: E40,E33,E35,YR31, walnut brown 177 Pencil
Ground and image outline shading: warm grey II- 271, warm grey V-274
I added a little extra this card. Its a sentiment that's hidden away behind the image

Penny Black stamp Gift Tag

Hello, Sorry I have been a bad blogger of late and not posted anything for little while. But you know how it is life gets in the way of what you would rather be doing at times.
Today post is only a little project but may help to get your creative side flowing. and this little idea is a lovely way to give a gift or take along to  BBQ as a hostesses gift  (lol I know been a bit silly. weathers not ready yet for BBQ'S).
So LETS GET STARTED
Take one of theses
6
a nice bottle of fizz
then
6
Take some transparent cellophane wrap this one had some flourishes printed on to it.
You can get this cello wrap at a florists or some greeting card shops sell it. Or try EBay
so what I did was take about 1 meter length gather it up around the bottle neck and secured with a ribbon tied in a bow.
I then made this gift tag to go on to the bottle.
I used a Penny Black stamp . I had this years but have not used them for a while. ( Note to myself look through and use some of my older stamps more often)
The image was stamped and coloured with copic markers and polychrome pencils. and didn't have a gold pen to do the edge of the bath ... but did have a gold stamping ink so I used a paint brush and smudged it where I wanted it. I used Xcut die for the frame and magnolia die for the pink vine type flourish.  The bubbles in cats bath tub were done using pearl decor pen to make them 3d. I let them dry and added more pearl bubble blobs to give more dimension.
To the top of the bottle where cello is gathered. I added some pearl sprays and attached some die cut butterflies. This is a memory box die.
Here is the finished item.
What i have done before is add wrapped chocolate's  loosely scatted inside the cello wrap then tied securely at the neck ( mmmmm Lindor Chocs my fave )
As you can see i also added a few bows there at the neck of the bottle.
I am sure who ever you give it to will be delighted with the effort you have gone too not only with there bottle of bubbly but how lovely it was gift wrapped.

I hope to get my self sorted and get back in to my  crafty room.
I did make a card to go on to my blog but....
it was not coming together right so that when in to bin..  opps.

Hot Diggity Dog - Chocolates and Mouse

Shhhhh ... don't tell any one but the sun has been shinning here all day ... not a rain cloud in sight... well not  from the view from my craft room window.
Finally got round to making this weeks card today...
I used the cute little mouse sat nibbling on chocolates.
I  used my usual items for colouring copic markers and polychrome colouring pencils
To the chocolate's I added glossy accents
It doesn't show very well but I tried to add extra 3d effect  by choosing parts of the chocolates and adding glossy/a  then let it dry ... then added the next section of glossy/a . So some areas of the choccies were more raised than others.
You can just make this out on the top of the choccie with red bits.
Here I made 2 bows,  added one on top of the other ... glued a small rose on top and added a cute little  'made with love charm'.
To the bottom corner I added ribbon. Also so more beautiful little flowers.
Made a little envelope  used spellbinders  die to cut out the little greeting card.
Inked edges and stamped sentiment.

For the inside just added papers I used on front  and a bit of same lace used.
Used a Martha Stewart punch to create the square to write your sentiment's on.

Off to stables now to enjoy the last few rays of sunshine of the day.

Magnolia Bride and Bridesmaid

Morning Tiddly peeps,
Hope you all had a lovely Easter and didn't eat all your eggs at once. Had this stamp months but not made a card with it so it was time to get it inked up and share it with you.
Papers I used are Lost and Found - Blush collection. I think the pink candy stripe paper maybe from Prima ..?  Could be wrong but cant find paper stack for it to cheek as craft desk looks like i've let a small child in their, who got everything out and had a whale of a time.
(me ..giggle...would loose my head if it was loose. I am always mislaying stuff)
Sorry pics a little blurry, this was coloured with copic markers and polychrome pencils
Mainly used a black pencil on the brides hair and the bridesmaids dress and used a paper blending stump and Sansodor which is a Low odour solvent which you can get from art shops. This helps to blend the wax based polychrome pencils.
Used this beautiful Marianne Creatable die just on the corner of the card blank, and used the latticed centres by adding tiny crystals which will add embelishment to inside of card, when opened. They are  so tiny I usually use theses on my nails when I do nail art.
This is the inside of the card. Looking at this picture the inside is looking very plain ...hmm may have to tweak this a little more. But thought the paper with the sentiment on it went well.
The other die used for the image was Tim holtz - baroque die, But had cut card to small to get the whole of the baroque die. So cut the baroque shape down to create this shape.

ohhhh don't forget that thepaperlane Birthday Challenge is still open to entry's

Magnolia sitting on a swing card.

Good afternoon, The weathers a little bit warmer but I still have goose bumps on top of goose bumps. I really feel the cold. Give me a hot place any day. Roll on summer and hurry up about it.
Hope some of you popped along to the paperlane Demo day in store on Saturday.
Poor Cas had a few glitches, what with the power in store going off and of course everything these days been powered by electric was a bit of a nightmare for her so Big HUGS TO HER.
I popped in to see the  wonderful new stamp range  that my fellow D.T. member (Bev)  launched at paperlanes demo day.
Click here to see her work and the new
Uniko Studio's stamps.
Greats stamps, lovely quality, Also simple clean designs and up to date with toady's modern trends. I tried the cogs and pocket watch stamps at the make and take demo. These would look fab on any mediums you use your stamps on, and you get a lot of stamps for your money. Not only that the packaging is fantastic, Fabulous storage for your stamps, also keeps them clean and dust free, clearly labelled. They are currently on sale at
the paperlane Northallerton.

Made a card on Friday to share with you.
Thought I would try a tent card and here is the results of my efforts
Papers used were Prima Pixie glen,
Used the magnolia swing stamp and Tilda sitting upon it.
Swing I mounted it with eyelets and chain so it would actually swing back and forth.
The arrangement of flowers are a selection I placed together. These are from
The base of the tent card I had to cut in an oval  so when the card was close the base piece when folded didn't show in the main oval window.
Also added a few little embellishment's like ribbon and buttons and small dummy charm, as the card was for my daughter on the birth of my 1st grandchild.

Magnolia - I ♥ u card

Good evening, brrrrr @ the cold weather. I don't do cold. I  like to see the snow and to be the first person to walk on the fresh snow in the garden, love the crunching sound it makes with every step.
But that's as far as it goes, after Ive done the stepping on to fresh snow I am willing it to disappear.
So we have done the Christmas's cards, so  we move through the events of this year and next is valentines day.
So here's a little card I've put together using one of my magnolia stamps and die cutters.
I got the template from splitcoast stampers
If you click on the link above it will take you to the tutorial,
There is a tutorial showing you how to make the basic
 I ♥ u
 card.
They also have a  template for you  to down load which has the letters  you may use to form the card.
Then you decorate each
of the
letters
to form your
card.
Why don't you give this little card a try. I really enjoyed making this card.

All wrapped up

Hello,
So are you ready? As only six more sleeps till our gifts are given, New and old happy memories are shared and made. Or are you like me still wrapping and making gifts tags. So today I just wanted to share with you the tags I have made to go with my gift wrapping paper. Just a little effort and your gifts will look fab.
I needed tags to go on my gifts, didn't have any to match my paper so made these little gems.
I used lost and found paper, this was from my scraps box, Cut the tag shape free hand. Added some silver stickles and did a scroll pattern. Added the glitter glass to edges to give the frosty ice appearance to edges. Added the spellbinders shapeabilities Fleur de lis pendant to top of tag this was folded in half then secured with eyelet.
Then I cut out Tim holtz bird from the caged bird die cutter. Cut him out in card, took a page from my old falling apart dictionary and cut the bird out again, glued this to card. Used my embossing pen to add ink to places I wanted the embossing powers to stick too then added gold embossing powder and heat set. Did the wings the same way but after heat setting the gold embossing powder, went over again with embossing ink pen and added black embossing powder and heat set again. This gave the two tones of colour on wings. Added few feathers.

So here's the finished look. Added rustic twine and little bell. Tied bow around gift and added the tag.
Hope you all have a lovely Christmas.

Unconventional Christmas Colours - This months paperlane challenge

Good Morning, This months challenge at the paperlane Is
So the colours that are out of bounds are Red, Green, and Blue!!!
So for this  Challenge I thought I would make a cute little tissue box. With this been the season we tend to get sniffles a snuffles. I think this will look great on your desk and would make good little gift to cheer someone up whos got a snotty nose.
So my unconventional Christmas colours were, blacks, grey, with a hint of purple
I really enjoyed making this. I used the pocket sized packs of tissues, Made the little box for tissues to go into, using my score board. Used spellbinders die to cut out tissue window
Added the back board to tissue box ready to decorate.
Don't you just love this cute snowman stamp by Simply gorjuss.
I coloured him with copic markers then added glitter/glass. Its more like crushed glass than glitter. The name of it escapes me, but the sell it at thepaperlane
Anyway I added this crushed glass to the head of the snowman and to parts of his body. Also to the snow drifts. The snow drifts were created by making a paper mask,  I ripped up post - it note paper
To give the ragged edge put it on image and used black on cut and dry foam to sponge on the drifts.

For the background I used the resist technique. After stamping the snowman I masking him off, Then used the snowflake stamp with versa embossing ink, added embossing powder, heat set it.
Then used black ink with the cut and dry foam over the stamped snowflakes,
to created the snowing night sky.
I used the beautiful black / grey coloured papers behind image. Cut to size layered it on white card.
Added silver stickles to the swirls on the paper. Added the ribbons. The Martha Stewart branch punch was used to add a little extra decoration. The sentiment I have used is from Craft stamper magazine. which you can buy from paperlane. I used the black crystal stones for snowman's eyes and around the card to add extra sparkle. Used the Tim holtz vintage market die to create the lettering.
Think that's about it. If I missed anything out and want to know how I did it. or what I used, just drop me a comment.

I hope you like it and that I have inspired you to join us this month paperlane challenge
 No reds, greens or blues!!!
If you click on the link above you will be able to see what lovely creations my fellow DT member's have crafted to give you some inspiration.
Now show us what you can do.

Nellie Snellen Flying Frog (gift book)

Sorry I've not posted for a little while. You know how it is sometimes you loose your crafting mo jo and am busy with other things.  Now the dark nights are here I've been busy during the day with the horse. Hes been taking up a lot of my day, and with limited daylight hours its difficult at times to get done what I need to get done.
I have had this little stamp a while and have not inked her up yet. Shes from the Nellie Snellen range.
I didn't do a card this time, I would call this a gift book.
They are easy to make.
The pages are made by concertinaed card. You make 4 and interlock them to form frame.
When stuck down in to the cover of your book.
The frame leaves a recessed area.
Which can be used as I have to leave your sentiment.
Or you could fill with a small gift like candy bars.

Just thought I would share a few cute pictures of my daughters dog.
